Graffiti Ministries was founded by Erin Davis and her husband, Jason in response to their exposure to a growing number of teen girls struggling in the areas of identity, self-esteem and developing true beauty.

In 2003, Erin wrote a Bible study for a group of girls in the youth group her husband pastored. The purpose of that study was to help the participants re-evaluate their own sources of worth and begin to understand their inestimable worth to Christ. While teaching the study, Erin was forced to deal with her own feelings of insecurity and re-evaluate her beliefs about the source of her beauty and identity.

Since that time, Erin has spoken to college students, groups of women and teenagers nationwide. She is passionately committed to sharing with others the truths God has revealed to her in the area of identity. As part of this effort, she self-published “Graffiti, Learning to See the Art in Ourselves,” a seven-session Bible study that explores truths about the body, God’s view of beauty, the influence of culture in the development of our ideas about beauty and identity and modesty. Through that study, and Graffiti events, Erin strives to impact the lives of females of all ages by helping them see the art in themselves.

Moody Publishers has since agreed to publish a book based on this Bible study and an updated version of the Bible study. These are now available here on this web site, Amazon.com and book stores all over the United States. In addition Erin has the privilege of being the blog author on the website www.liesyoungwomenbelieve.com which is about a book by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Dannah Gresh called Lies Young Women Believe. Erin is also writing the Bible study curriculum that will go along with the book. The Lies Young Women Believe Companion Guide will be out in October 2008.
